TIC's 2022 HIGHLIGHTS

Here at Team TIC, we’ve got plenty to be excited about in 2023. In February we will celebrate our 3rd birthday, we plan to expand the team and we have some incredible projects to deliver! But more on all that later…

Whilst it’s still fresh in our mind we wanted to reflect on some highlights from 2022.

PROJECTS

Last year saw us work with a fantastic range of clients, including American Express, Greystar, TikTok, Savills and BAFTA to name a few.

We finished 2022 strong by delivering a bumper December of Festive celebrations. These ranged from a Charity Dinner, Christmas Markets and the ‘Festive Wish Tree’ at Victoria Station, an interactive installation which saw 3,500 wishes left over 6 days – some of them funny, many of them heartfelt and moving.

We were also incredibly proud to create an immersive 3 day pop-up Christmas Village at The Leadenhall Building in The City, featuring food and drinks vendors, activities and cosy heated seating areas.

RECOGNITION

In June, we were nominated for Best Start-Up Agency at CN Agency Awards. In November, we were awarded the Best Small Event Award by the National Outdoor Events Association for our work on a placemaking programme in West London. We are beyond grateful to be recognised by the NOEA, judges and colleagues across industry for our work.

Our ‘Love Victoria’ activation to help Victoria celebrate Valentine’s Day has been nominated for Best Brand Activation at the Access All Areas Awards, taking place on 12th January 2023. Keep your fingers crossed!

And lastly, our Event Manager, Holly Hutchings featured on C&IT’s Agency A-List, recognising rising stars within the events industry and joining an alumni that includes our co-founders Al and Megan. We’ve known that Holly is a star since she joined us in May 2022 and could not be more proud to see this recognised at industry level.

TEAM TIC

We asked the team what their standout event moments were from 2022....

Al: In a year of highlights I’m going to cheat and say 2.... The first is Dame Kelly Holmes speaking about 'the importance of being me' at a dining event for American Express Platinum Cardmembers – such an important story to hear, and so powerfully delivered. The second was seeing the engagement from the school children at a key skills day we ran with BAFTA and The Crown Estate, with different talks and activities to show them how they could take their skills into a career in the TV, Film and Gaming industries.

Holly: Despite only joining the team in May of 2022, there have been so many amazing highlights! One that sticks in my mind is the Halloween Festival at Greenford Quay. Watching huge grins form across children's as they watched Dr Jekyll's foaming volcano erupt, laughter, as they picked up swords to fight the Pirate King and pure joy as Mina Murray and Van Helsing played out a brilliant interactive puppet show - a truly 'wow we did this' moment.

Megan: Receiving daily updates from the team on the ground at the Festive Wish Tree in December! During a really busy period for us as a team, these were an amazing reminder of the impact our projects can have.

As we kick off 2023, we know this is going to be our biggest year yet! Watch this space for what’s to come…
