WE'RE RUNNING EVENTS... BUT WE'RE STILL FINDING TIME TO ENJOY THEM TOO

Summer is our busiest time of year.

The diary is full, the radios are charged, and there's a good chance you'll find at least one of us carrying a clipboard while answering three phone calls at once. Between outdoor cinemas, festivals, launch events and community activations, life at TIC is wonderfully busy.

But every now and then, we manage to put the radios down, close the laptop and become event-goers instead of event organisers.

Because here's the thing: we genuinely love this stuff.

One of the best parts of living and working in London is that there's always something happening. Whether it's live music, theatre, comedy, exhibitions or pop-up experiences, the city never really slows down. And as people whose job it is to create memorable experiences, there's no better place to find inspiration than by getting out and enjoying them ourselves.

Megan's Pick: Outdoor Comedy in Greenwich

Megan has been making the most of the long evenings with a trip to an outdoor comedy festival in Greenwich.

There's something about watching live comedy outside on a summer evening that just feels... very London. Great comedians, a relaxed atmosphere and hundreds of people all laughing together. It's exactly the kind of event that reminds us how simple ideas, delivered well, can create brilliant experiences.

And yes, there were probably a few notes being made about crowd flow and bar queues too...

Shanta's Pick: A Night at the Theatre

While the rest of us seem determined to spend the summer outdoors, Shanta is bringing a little culture to the team with a theatre trip.

We'll update this once she's been, but we're already expecting a glowing review... and probably a recommendation that at least half the office suddenly decides they need to see too.

It's another reminder that some of the best events don't need huge production values—they simply tell a great story.

Al's Pick: Joining the Odyssey Hype

Like much of the internet, Al has fully bought into the excitement surrounding The Odyssey.

Those are the questions that shape the work we do every day.

Next up on Jamie's calendar is The Kooks performing at the stunning Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. Historic venues becoming live music destinations? We're absolutely here for it.

One of the things we love most is seeing iconic spaces used in different ways, giving people a fresh reason to visit somewhere they might already know. It's a brilliant reminder that place isn't just about the location—it's about what happens there.

Why We Never Stop Looking

People often ask where we get ideas for events. The honest answer? Everywhere.

It's a brilliant festival with a clever layout. A theatre production that leaves the audience talking all the way home. A concert in an unexpected location. A comedy night with an atmosphere that just works.

Every event we attend teaches us something, whether we're consciously looking for it or not.

Of course, sometimes it's also just nice to turn up, grab a drink, find your seat and let somebody else worry about the schedule for a change.

We spend so much of the year creating experiences for other people that it's important to remember to enjoy a few ourselves.

And thankfully, in a city like London, there's never a shortage of opportunities. So if you spot one of us out and about this summer, don't worry... we're probably off duty. (Although we can't promise we won't still be admiring the signage.) 😉
