Awards, Projects, Promotions and New Team Members… Celebrating 2023, and Looking Ahead to 2024!

It’s now February – always a favourite month for Team TIC as we gear up to celebrate our birthday. We’ll be turning 4 on 19th February – what better excuse to reflect on, and celebrate, what we’ve achieved, and to get excited for what is to come?

It’s been an incredible few months for us. In November and December, we delivered some of our favourite projects to date, working with Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), Estates and Developers to build and deliver experiences that have driven connection, community and footfall.

Our team sent off 2023 in the best style possible - from working with The Portman Estate to deliver the Letters to Santa activation in Marylebone, through to creating a Giant Gingerbread House in Victoria Station for Victoria BID (complete with visits from the Man In Red himself) to returning to some favourite spaces at The Leadenhall Building, Greenford Quay and Bloom Nine Elms, to deliver festive placemaking celebrations for their communities. We also helped the team at Enclave: Croydon celebrate their launch with a full-day festival of activities that took place across 50 floors – roof top mini golf on London’s highest course anyone?

Team TIC were also thrilled to see our efforts recognised at both the Access All Areas and National Outdoor Event Association Awards in 2024. Our ‘TLB Beach Club’ activation at The Leadenhall Building was recognised as a finalist for ‘Best Brand Activation’ alongside some incredible agencies and brands, and our projects received 5 nominations at the NOEA Awards, including for the inaugural Placemaking Award. On the night, we were ecstatic for ‘Summer in the Square,’ the event we produced for Baker Street Quarter Partnership, to take home the win for Regional Event of the Year.

We were so proud of the team – Megan, Al, Jess, Holly and Emma – for their work on this event, and appreciative of the wonderful team at Baker Street Quarter Partnership, and our brilliant partners and suppliers who contributed to this success. We can’t wait to be back in Portman Square again in July this year.

We have our fingers crossed for more awards success as we are finalists in 3 categories at The CN Agency Awards taking place in March – Event Management Agency of the Year, Experiential Agency of the Year and David & Goliath Award. Stay tunes for updates…

This success does of course extend beyond our team. We had the pleasure of working with incredible suppliers, freelancers, partners and clients in 2023 – thanks to all of you for helping make it such a BAM year, we look forward to working with you all again!

There is plenty to celebrate within the team too. Nearly 2 years after joining Team TIC and delivering incredible placemaking experiences across our portfolio, Holly received a well deserved promotion to Senior Event Manager – talk about a BAM moment!

And of course… there is the latest edition to the team. At the beginning of November, Megan and family welcomed Luna, and we’ve been scoping out mini high-vis and safety boots ever since.

We could not be more excited for 2024 with new, and returning projects on the horizon, not to mention the team expanding…. We cannot wait to tell you more – watch this space.
