HOW WE...
created a magical festive interactive installation within a central London station.
THE CHALLENGE
Victoria BID were looking for an interactive festive activation for December 2022. The experience should take place in Victoria station in the lead up to Christmas. The installation should promote local businesses, encourage charitable donations, be instragram worthy, give those passing through something to smile about and remember.
THE SOLUTION
We created The Festive Wish Tree. Located on the main concourse at Victoria Station, the Wish Tree was designed as a destination for members of the public to leave a wish for the festive season and beyond, bringing a sense of festive cheer to the area. The activation included promotional materials, competition and QR code to promote and drive footfall to local businesses.
THE EXPERIENCE
Members of the public were invited to write and hang their wishes on the installation.
Wishes were funny, heartfelt and moving, uniting a community of passers-by in their collective hopes for the future. We also had a Festive choir performance from a local school.
The Tree became a piece of community artwork in the middle of the station, attracting visitors to admire, photograph and share.
The tree was filled with positive, humorous, sad, deep, emotional, ambitious and thoughtful wishes and messages!
“Thank you for bringing happiness into the station on this very cold day, this is just lovely.”
THE IMPACT
We were blown away by the response to the Wish Tree. The activation saw almost 3,500 wishes hung over 6 days. The activity helped to promote local businesses, drive traffic to the Victoria BID website and social pages and connect to wider activity within the footprint.
